Getting you started

When it comes to training, it needs to be said that no one training routine or system is perfect, and that anyone routine or system will work so long as it remains a novel stimulus to your body. Likewise, no one program will work for anyone person at all times or for all conditions. You also need to bear in mind that what works for one person might not necessarily work for another one and vice versa. So before you take up any fitness exercise or training routine you have to ask yourself whether the exercise/routine fits the purpose. In other words, is it appropriate for you? Similarly, it is also important to acknowledge that devising individualized strength training programs is a complex task. Each trainer and/or strength conditioning coach will have their own style which is not only open to scrutiny but also limited by his/her own school of training/thought, personal approach, views, experience, expectations and understanding. Regardless of your training approach, taking a client-centred perspective and gathering preliminary data is vital to ensure we address/understand all issues pertinent in relation to your health/fitness as well as to your psychology and personal needs/goals.
STEPS 1-3: The steps outlined in the diagram below are part of your program design and prescription which will ensure that you are put in the right track from the start. These protocols will also aid us to devise/implement the correct exercises and training routines for you.

STEPS 4-6: The steps highlighted below will take you to your desired goals/objectives safely and efficiently.
